Offical Press Release: Mock AIEEE / AIPMT on 27th March
PEC and IIT students/alumni would be organizing the Mock AIEEE / AIPMT on 27th March, 2011. Convenor of the test, Mohit Singla of 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering, PEC University of Technology informed that a team of around 100 co-ordinators is involved with the conduct of this large-scale test meant for science students of +1 and +2 classes.
“The test is based strictly on the pattern of actual AIEEE and AIPMT conducted by CBSE for admissions to engineering and medical colleges across India. Our team has been conducting this test on non-profit basis since 1999 and almost all students of the region appear in it. This year, around 40,000 candidates are expected to appear at various centres across 4 states of Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu,” said Mohit.
PEC students have compiled a comprehensive 1000-page Preparation Kit consisting of 3 books and a CD for free distribution amongst candidates on first-come-first-served basis. One book contains fully-solved previous years AIEEE / AIPMT papers and Mock Tests with stepped-difficulty levels for practice. The second book ‘How to Succeed’ is written by renowned professor Dr. O P Aggarwal, it emphasizes on best-practices for achieving success in competitive examinations. The CD contains around 30,000 simulated objective type tests to improve speed and accuracy.
“Thousands of short-cuts, tips-tricks and time-saving-techniques developed by us in Physics and Chemistry have also been included for the benefit of engineering and medical aspirants in the form of a Manual” said Bakul Gupta, one of the core-team members from PEC. “This time, we are using OMR scanners just like the CBSE and results would be declared online within a few hours of the test,” Bakul added.
The prizes for the toppers of this test (Laptops, net-books, mobile phones, etc.) are being sponsored by PEC and IIT alumni from around the world who are now at top-positions in various MNCs.
Parents and students can seek guidance and counselling from top-rankers of PEC & IIT on toll-free number 1800-103-3733 or 98765-24333. Further information about the test is available at www.mocktest.org. Last date for registrations is 31 January, 2011.
